Pupil Voice

At Norfolk House, we place great importance on the views of our pupils, just as we do those of parents and staff. In addition to feedback gathered through our School Council and regular dialogue with pupils about their school experience, we have introduced an online survey to capture their genuine opinions in a structured way.

Pupils from Years 1 to 6 recently completed this survey, which will now be a regular feature of our approach to pupil engagement. The insights gained will directly inform our school development planning, ensuring we remain responsive to the needs of those at the heart of everything we do—our pupils.
We are delighted to report that the results reflect high levels of pupil satisfaction, with particular praise for the quality of teaching and the progress being made in lessons. Notable highlights include:

  • 100% of pupils agree that their teachers expect them to work hard in lessons
  • 100% agree that the school encourages them to respect others
  • 99% agree that they learn a lot in class each day
  • 99% agree that their teachers care about them and want them to succeed
  • 99% agree that they are taught how to correct their mistakes

In addition to rating key aspects of school life, pupils were invited to share suggestions for improvement. These ideas will be reviewed by the School Council and incorporated into an action plan developed in collaboration with staff.

We look forward to continuing this valuable dialogue and using pupil feedback to guide and enhance our provision.
