Ms Rachael Byrne

With ten years of teaching experience and a strong background in leadership across a range of subjects, I bring a well-rounded and adaptable approach to education. These varied roles have deepened my understanding of curriculum development and helped shape my practice in my current role as Director of Studies. My leadership approach centers on fostering a positive and reflective environment where staff are encouraged to grow, collaborate, and contribute ideas, all with the shared goal of achieving the best outcomes for our pupils.

At the heart of my teaching philosophy is the belief that primary education should nurture children who are thoughtful, independent learners—confident in themselves and caring towards others and the world around them. I am proud of our curriculum, which builds strong academic foundations while fostering curiosity, self-reflection, and a sense of responsibility. The strong sense of community at Norfolk House School means we know each child well and can provide truly individualised support.
