Mr Tej Lander

I joined Norfolk House in 2022, bringing over a decade of experience in both state and independent education. As a teacher and a school leader I have always been driven by the belief that high academic expectations and holistic development go hand in hand. Norfolk House is a proudly inclusive, non-academically-selective school where intellectual curiosity, creativity and kindness are celebrated equally — and it’s a privilege to lead such a vibrant, forward-thinking community.

Since joining, I’ve worked with the team to deliver a future-facing curriculum that equips pupils with real-world thinking skills, to grow our co-curricular offer to give pupils all the key ‘big school’ opportunities within a small school and to steer Norfolk House to rapidly adapt to the needs of today’s young families, through initiatives such as wraparound care, holiday clubs and a year-round nursery. My leadership style is collaborative, strategic and values-led — I believe in empowering staff, listening to pupil voice, and ensuring every decision we make reflects both our ethos and ambition. Norfolk House is the home of ambitious minds — and I’m excited for where our next chapter will take us!
